The EOQ congress, yearly organised since 1956 by a National Representative in his/her country, is a showroom for the EOQ and its worldwide network. It offers quality organizations a platform and a unique opportunity to learn and network.
In 2026, the year in which we celebrate the 70th anniversary of EOQ, our congress will take place in Prishtina, Kosovo. It promises to be another exceptionally engaging and inspiring edition.
Visit the EOQ congress website for the latest updates.

Under the dynamic motto “Shaping Quality for a Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Future”, highly qualified leaders in the field of quality will present a wide range of insights, practical examples, and forward‑looking ideas.
Where It Will All Happen: First Impressions of the EOQ Congress Venue
Paulo Sampaio, EOQ President, and Katelijne Knaeps, EOQ Program Manager, recently had the pleasure of visiting UBT University in Pristina, the inspiring venue for the EOQ Congress 2026, which will take place on October 22–23.
From the moment they arrived, they were warmly welcomed by Edmond Hajrizi, CEO of Quality Kosovo (EOQ National Representative) and the visionary founder, builder, and driving force behind UBT University.
From the very beginning, this visit represented more than preparation—it reflected a clear mission. As Edmond emphasized, UBT is about connecting knowledge and practice, cultures, and people. That philosophy is exactly the spirit we aspire to create and experience during the EOQ Congress.
The university stands as a powerful symbol of resilience in a young country that continues to shape its future with determination and optimism. At UBT, learning goes far beyond the classroom. Theoretical knowledge is seamlessly integrated with real-world application, supported by facilities that mirror nearly every aspect of a functioning small (and smart 😊) city.
Students are trained across a broad spectrum—IT, technology, business development, healthcare, communication, nutrition, hygiene, fashion, and more—consistently combining theory with hands-on experience.
What stood out most was the peaceful and open atmosphere on campus—a place where ideas can flourish, connections are naturally formed, and diversity is embraced as a strength. It is precisely this environment that will make UBT an exceptional setting for the EOQ Congress.
The venue itself offers everything needed to bring people together. With large open spaces, spacious auditoriums, and a range of smaller rooms, it can comfortably host several hundred participants. It is ideally suited for both plenary sessions and parallel tracks, creating opportunities for dialogue, exchange, and collaboration—perfectly aligned with the congress’s ambition to connect quality professionals from around the world.
Behind the scenes, preparations are progressing steadily. Edmond and his team are currently compiling an overview of confirmed speakers, and we look forward to exploring the first version of the program soon on the dedicated congress website: www.eoqcongress2026.com .
Paulo and Katelijne left Pristina energized and confident: EOQ Congress 2026 will not only be an event, but an experience shaped by innovation, resilience, and collaboration—it will be a place where bridges are built, cultures connect, and a place where quality professionals connect and network in a high-level congress environment.

We warmly invite you to take part in this unique event and help shape the future of quality.
We can also share -with proud- some impressions from last years congress in Oslo (Norway) on 12 and 13 June, which was successfully organised with the support of QRN. It was once again a particularly fascinating and enriching experience. Old relationships were renewed and people expanded their networks within their area of expertise.
We welcomed nearly 300 participants from 27 countries. Fifty-two speakers from 24 different countries gave fascinating presentations on the theme of quality and how we must continuously innovate this concept and our methods. The fact that artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in this was, of course, also clearly emphasised.
During the festive evening banquet, the European Quality Leader certificates were presented to the winner and finalist. There were also two highly qualified winners of the George Borel Award this year.
A nice touch that characterised the atmosphere of this highly efficient yet warm and friendly Scandinavian conference was that, in addition to a completely emptied ice cream machine, 2,000 cups of coffee were served during the two-day event.
Explore a few more mood images of the well‑attended and highly engaging congress program and we can also look back at the 2024 edition in Reims, France with 300 participants and 78 speakers.
