About the speaker : Mr. Rakic is a multilingual Business Excellence and Operational Leader with extensive global experience in the mining and chemical industries. He obtained a Mechanical Engineering diploma from the University of Belgrade in 1991 and began his professional career in the Europoort area of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Over nine years, he managed production at Caldic Europoort B.V.

Zeljko's expertise in Lean Six Sigma took him to Montreal, Canada, where he worked at Alcan’s head office, a division of the multinational Rio Tinto. He addressed a broad range of issues across various departments. In 2017, he relocated to Saudi Arabia to serve as the Leading Master Black Belt for Ma’aden Aluminium, reporting directly to the company president. A year later, Mr. Rakic became the Manager of Business Improvement at Sohar Aluminium in Oman, where he supervised the implementation of Lean Six Sigma for four years.

In 2022, family responsibilities brought Zeljko's to Croatia, where he began serving as the Director of Operations for The Lean Six Sigma Company. In this role, he lead over 100 Lean Six Sigma experts worldwide and assists customers in successfully deploying Lean Six Sigma methodologies.”
